| prompt me (um...five of you, that is) |
[30 Dec 2008|07:31pm] |
Sick of my in-progress fic but feeling creative tonight. Would like to be nudged, to see what comes out.
First five people to respond to this post with a character or pairing + prompt (please do keep it suggestive and simple) get 200 words. ETA: Got 'em. Can't promise it'll be an honest-to-goodness story ('cause, Jesus, that's hard to do in a double drabble), but it'll be words, and it'll hopefully be interesting to both of us. Give me time parameters if you want. A wacky crossover might amuse me, too, so you could try that.
Gen, het, slash, femmeslash. Whatever.
ETA: So far: 1. Kevin Walker (B&S), most eligible bachelor on Craphole Island (Lost) 2. Alex/Claire, circa 3.22 (Lost) 3. Zoe (Firefly) and Anders (BSG) want to blow shit up 4. Brendon/Jon, circa Jon's days as a fill-in (bandom RPF)

| mcr poem-creature: ride cymbal (bob/frank, pg-13) |
[29 Dec 2008|11:24pm] |
I'm only posting this because I'm drunk. Oh yes, so drunk. Vodka is a good thing.
I'm sick of digging this up every couple of weeks and staring at it and trying to not over-write it. It's reached the point where I'm only doing it harm. So here it is, such as it is. I never could figure out how to punctuate it to suit me, so forgive that.
ride cymbal Bob/Frank PG-13 For crowgirl13, the only person on the planet who might accept my Bob-centric poem-creature enough to find it weirdly charming.
( poem: ride cymbal )

Damn you, ABC! I will not be sucked into The Sound of Music. Will. Not.
*shakes fist*
(Okay, so bandom folk...Brendon is Maria, right? And then there could be CaptainVonTrapp!Ryan? Perfect, yes?
I keep thinking of the scene where Ilsa would tell Brendon to put on that dress he was wearing the other day, when Captain Ross couldn't take his eyes off him. *giggles* Not that I'd want to read such a thing. *cough*linkmeifsomeonediditalready,'kay?*cough*
Seriously, y'all: can't you see Brendon giving himself a little sigh and crossing himself and saying, "God bless Kurt"? You know, after he pulled down the curtains to make play clothes out of them, lol.
Ah, God. *iz insane*)

| friends cut and friends adding |
[22 Dec 2008|03:34pm] |
I've just done a small friends cut. It's nothing at all personal, I promise. In most cases, I never have gotten to know you very well or/because we don't share fandoms (anymore). Either that or you're just not around anymore. If you feel the cut was in error, please let me know!
DEFRIENDING AMNESTY, of course (as always). No hard feelings, I hope.
***
I just friended some random people from bandom. If this is you: I'm probably stalking your fic and wanted to do it more easily, lol, but I also like making friends (and I need more in bandom!). I know how it goes with a big flist, though, so I won't be offended if you don't friend me back. See my info page for more about me.

| MCR fic: Bob/Ray, R |
[18 Dec 2008|07:30pm] |
*hands* First experiment with the pairing. It's kind of rough around the edges, but I promised it like two days ago, and it wasn't supposed to get this motherfucking long. I've gotta be gone for the weekend, so here it is, before it's too late.
Title: Fifteen Minutes, Three Bites of Toast, and Four Sips of Ginger Ale Pairing: Bob/Ray Rating: R Summary: Someone (Frank) spiked the egg nog (and the Brothers Way are perfectly okay with that, thank you very much!). ~4000 words. Note: Quick holiday fic to amuse crowgirl13, who suggested the pairing and who is plagued with evil snot monsters. Begone, I say!
( Bob's not one to question Toro )

| why does comment porn always get away from me? |
[16 Dec 2008|07:46pm] |
Brendon/Jon/Ryan R; 1000 words. For themoononastick, because I'm a slave-driver and a miserable, distracting tease. Just working out some dynamics here, really.
( Brendon's back trembles )

| PatD fic: How Do You Want Me? (girl!Bren/Jon, NC-17) |
[14 Dec 2008|02:37pm] |
Title: How Do You Want Me? Pairing: girl!Brendon/Jon Rating: NC-17 Summary: So, I'm assuming that 20-year-olds, especially ones who grew up Mormon, are sometimes kind of fumbling and inarticulate when it comes to negotiating even mild sexual kinks. But adorable failboats, yes? Established relationship. 4600 words. Warning: D/s themes, graphic language of a het variety Disclaimer: I'm pretty sure I don't have to tell anyone that if I'm pretending Brendon's a girl, this if fiction.
( Bren likes saying 'please' )

| make December 3 fluff ficlet day! |
[03 Dec 2008|12:33pm] |
Why? Because I say so. Because it's fun. Seriously, who doesn't need to write/read, say, 250 words of fluff?
Any fandom; any rating; gen, het, slash, femmeslash. This is nothing at all formal. Just trying to spur on your muse to good cheer, warm fuzzies, etc. But if you do write something from one of these prompts, you might link it for me (and other potential readers of this post) in the comments below, because I'm lazy. ;)
Random fluffy prompts:
1. playing in the snow 2. cooking 3. an unexpected hug 4. a homemade gift 5. a shooting star 6. a first 7. a confession [the good kind, obvs] 8. making up 9. a road trip 10. a kiss hello or goodbye
OR ADD A PROMPT TO THIS LIST BY COMMENTING BELOW!
ETA (11:00 p.m.): Four ficlets linked in the comments, all for 'Lost' ~

| PatD fic: Call It Home (Brendon/Ryan, NC-17) |
[30 Nov 2008|12:30pm] |
Title: Call It Home Pairing: Brendon/Ryan Rating: NC-17 Summary: Ryan goes to pick up Brendon from the airport after they've been apart for two weeks. He's kind of neurotic and cranky about the whole thing. But since (in my fic anyway, for some reason, *facepalm*) Brendon is always composed of one part perception, two parts patience, and three parts sunshine, it's all okay in the end (read: schmoop). Oh, and there might be some gratuitous sex, too. 4000 words. Disclaimer: If this is about you, then you know it's not really about you. For your sanity, hit the back button.
( It's late when Brendon's flight gets in, but McCarran is still spilling over with people )

| LoFiWriMo update: week three |
[25 Nov 2008|10:57pm] |
You'll notice I'm behind. I'm posting this roundup for stories that should've been done last week, but it's been crazytimes in my schedule lately. I'm going to finish the last eight or nine the first week of December, when I get back from a sojourn to Kentucky for the holiday.
This week, it was the women of 'Lost,' including one who was supposed to be with the Others and others last week, but I had to mull her over a bit longer than the rest. Gives me hope for tackling Danielle eventually. If you've got a bleeding clue what I might use as a prompt for Danielle, I'd be all ears. ( bachlava, darling?)
Alex - [untitled], PG, 100 words
Charlotte - Different, PG, 250 words (Apparently Charlotte and Sawyer are both different, lol)
Claire - Mirror, PG, 275 words
Juliet - Time Ahead of Her, PG, 250 words
Kate - Of All the Things Before, PG-13, 250 words
Sun - Jin's Work, PG, 250 words
Total this last week: 6 characters, 1375 words. LoFiWriMo total so far: 21 characters, 7175 words.
